The Lang family established Langs Appliance in the 1970's with the goal of providing effective home appliance service to their local community.  Previous to its present location on Calumet Avenue, the business was located on Memorial Drive. 

To complement their established service force, the Lang family introduced a home appliance sales force in 1989.  Today, the mission of Langs Appliance is to provide knowledgeable and effective home appliance sales and support.

As all things and people change, Lang's Appliance Service is to. Sue Lang has been retired  from the business for three years already and Dennis will be going into semi-retirement in 2005. They will be turning the operation of the business over to their daughter Karen Lang- Schweigl and  Son Steve Lang. They are the new owners of Lang's Appliance as of January 1 2009.

This will not be to disruptive for the business, as Dennis will still be on the staff of Lang's Appliance part time. This then being said, we are looking forward to the future with expansion of new services and introduction new products.

Under the new ownership there will be changes, some of them will be to upgrade the sales floor with more products and brands. The service department will be expanding the service area and looking into the servicing of commerical products. We hope to be servicing for other dealers and the box stores also.
